Plans

Planning is a big part of being a teenager. Planning for the future. Where you want to go, if you want to go anywhere, and how you will get there. In the collaborative friend notebook I do, a while ago a question was asked: 'What are you plans for after (or during) high school?' I know what I want. I want to do something creative in a big city. I want to go on a mission, and go to BYU Idaho. I want kids and a husband and I just want to be able to do creative things for a living. That's my plan. But all of that seems so far away- I'm a freshman. That's around four-six-seven years for ALL of those things. What about my plans here, in high school? Let me tell you, Amazon and I have this all mapped out.
1. I want to get a license- this means a lot of things to both of us. It means that I can drive Amazon to McDonalds when she wants to, I can drive myself to Jimmy Johns when I want to. (conflicting opinions) It means that we can go places. With permission (I'm an obedient wimp, but meh. ) It's a goal that at one point we will take some epic aesthetic road trip you read about .in YA realistic fiction novels

2. Go camping in our backyard. Our backyard is pretty small. When we were living in Illinois we were never allowed to sleep in our huge acre sized backyard- it was tragic. I didn't get it then, but we were more likely to be picked off by the same coyotes who took our cat in that backyard than we are in the middle of 'smalltown' Michigan. Anyway, we will take many pictures (There will also be pictures with the road trip- so many pictures)

3. Stay up all night for some reason- we could be having a bake-a-thon, craft-a-thon, movie-a-thon, Gravity Falls/Star Vs. The Forces of Evil-a-thon, or just an aesthetic-a-thon- anyway we just want to pull 24 hours of something great. Taking pictures of that something great also. There will also be much food- I'll get pictures of that too.
4. We want to do a show together. We are both beginning and ending shows right now- Amazon just had closing night on 'Bye Bye Birdie' yesterday. She played Mrs. Peterson.

Meanwhile I am starting Beauty and the Beast in the villager's cast. It's a goal to be in at least one show together so we can kill it with our skillz.
Anyway, it's good to have goals. That's what all the self-help books say.
