This is a little patch I made today (HALF DAY BABY AW YEAH) while being bored and inside instead of out in the sun. It's based, if you can't tell, on 'Fahrenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury. I read it this week and am SO amazed- it's an incredible book. If you haven't already, you must. Especially if you are a book lover. Even if you are not.
Since there was a half day today, we didn't do much of anything at school. Instead of going to our first three hours of the day, we went to the last three- fourth, fifth, and sixth. I have english, math, and health & wellness for those hours so we watched movies and did math puzzles and just generally messed around. In my health & wellness class I am known as 'the avocado girl'. Don't judge- at the beginning of the year the teacher asked us "What's one way that you stay healthy?"
I answered: "Marching band, and avocados."
Ever since then whenever avocados are mentioned in class everyone will point to me and start saying "Avocados, Mandarin! Avocados!" It came to a friend of mine's attention that a boy in our class had never had an avocado before, so she brought one for him to class. He was asking around for good ways to eat an avocado, so I gave him my ultimate guacamole recipe. This girl, Sydney, took one look at my recipe and starting spouting off about how it looked so nasty "Sour cream in guac? GROSS! Where is the garlic? Why aren't there peppers?" Me; "Peppers? Garlic? I'm the gross one?!" The teacher came up to settle our friendly bickering and said that there was only one way to settle this: a guac competition. So it is decided. This Tuesday during sixth hour my skills as the current Guacamole Queen. I will update you then.
Wish me luck in the battle, readers.
