Aloha, friends! I'm sick at home today so now I can stay at home, eat food, and talk about things that make me happy without the awkward barrier of actually talking to people!
Scott Schuman- the king of blogging street style photography- runs this blog with stunning pictures of street style from New York, Milan, and photos from runway shows. They cast a light on the awesomeness that happens outside of fashion magazines and runway shows- what people are actually wearing to go get some lunch, go to work, or just going home. People can look fabulous while walking home, believe it or not.
One of the things that I really love about The Sartorialist is reading the comments. Fashion bloggers, stylists, just people with opinions all analyze, suggest tips about, and just talk about the outfit! It's wonderful to see smart people do things, and these genius's point out little aspects of the look that make or break it and how to avoid breaking your own looks.
This has been my goal lately when I get dressed- would Scott Schuman want my picture? The best part of this question is that 1. He doesn't photograph particular style types- he photographs you if you OWN IT and if you stand out and 2. that means being interesting. That's really one of my primary goals in life and he knows what it is. 3. It gives me motivation to wear something other than a cardigan and jeans every day. If something can motivate me out of that, then I think it's a good thing.
stay stylin' readers.
