I just need to stop with the whole pie thing. Neil Gaiman pie just sounds wrong, however cool he is.
Recently I did two things: I embroidered a pair of pants with little eye patches on the knees for the NIGHT VALE LIVE SHOW I WILL BE ATTENDING (more on that later) and I read Neil Gaiman's 'Make good art' speech in book form edited by the genius Chip Kidd
That second picture makes me immensely happy. They represent both of my style personalities (all black, and I wear the rainbow) The book is incredibly designed and Gaiman's words are purely brilliant. It's always cool when two really smart people make good art. Anyway, I really like embroidering and I liked the idea of the speech so I tried to make a little patch that said "make good art". It's really sketchy looking and not super well made, but the process of making it was fun and rewarding which is one of the main points of the book.
It's a little misshapen. Hard to read. Slightly falling apart.
Make good art, readers.
