Something to wake me up

School approacheth. I have been slacking and sleeping in late, but this morning my dad dragged me out of bed to get me in shape for seminary. I fell asleep after getting up in bed, then on the couch, then at the kitchen table.I figured I better find something to wake me up, so I logged onto the computer. Boy, did I find something to wake me up.
So I have been quietly crying over Rodarte's Fall 2016 Ready-to-wear show since then and figured "oh, I should do something semi-productive about it"...

1. First favorite thing; The beauty. It really made this collection for me; the dark purple/ black lipstick, the thick eyebrows, and natural hair. It evokes this image of a young girl trying to be goth, smearing on this lipstick and seeing how it looks with the neat (yet messy?) hair her mom styled that morning. Maybe I have a weird attachment to high fashion goth culture (I feel like I review dark and sinister shows more than any others...) but this collection justifies my love for it.

2.The hair flowers- This is kind of an obscure detail to list, but seriously. Look at them. It's been done before, but there is something about the mix of hair bouquets, lace, and victorian-esque silhouettes that simply makes my heart sing. That's all I can say about it.

3. Last, lace. I love lace. I have lace curtains. Lace edged blankets. A couple of lace dresses. I love how feminine and sweet it looks, almost as if it is spun sugar sweet- you see it and think "it's so innocent but... what if it's not. It's too cute. Too girly. What does it have to hide" and suddenly, lace is creepy and dark.

also... ( my favorite details)
