Color love: There's a good deal to be said about black and white

Also totally unrelated I just heard the Shia LeBeouf song for the first time. Oh my gosh I don't even know how I have been living without it. But I am aware that I can live without color sometimes.

November 18

Do you ever have those days that are just... geeedlafjkl;? I don't even know how to explain it I just feel very tired lately. Not tired in a tired way but in a more creatively tired way. I don't know what I should be doing or making just that my lack of imagination right now is seriously bumming me out.
There is a poetry slam coming up at my school and I thought I would sign up for it. I've written poetry I've just never... shared it with people. Ugh, people. I don't know what *ugh* people are going to think of some theatrical freshman talking about apologizing but whatever. "Just do it with confidence. No one can take that away from you" I think that quote is by Rita Ora. It is the standard that I am living my life to right now. I've sort of noticed that the people who really- oh I don't know own it?- are the ones who always look like they are having the best time. Even if they are wearing a stuffed rabbit on their head or totally in the wrong place at the wrong time they look okay. They do it with confidence. That's cool.
I'm going to complain a bit about hair ( SORRY what a negative Nelly I am today) So I cut my hair off around the middle of the summer and I have loved almost every second of short hair up till recently. I still like short hair and I think it looks good- it just leaves so little to do with it! I change my mind about stuff all. the. time. and I am past the possibility of changing my hair now! One can so easily just destroy all that you have on your head but it takes so long to get it back. It's just like life. Or something...

I hate posts without visuals what do I do...
This is the marching band. Our last performance is this Saturday! Do you see me? I'm on the left side in the white and green...

100th post

It's here, folks. The 100th post. Prepare for gushiness to the extreme.
I thought for the hundreth post we would spill the story behind Prism. The story is this:
One day I was wandering around the library when I stumbled into the magazine section. i was looking at back issues of several magazines and I was astounded at the writer's skill, the layout of it, the themes, the clothes. I was enchanted. I checked out my books and later at home I proposed the idea of starting a zine to Amazon. She thought it was a great idea but we didn't know how to make a zine. School was still going and we didn't have the motivation to learn so our creative endeavor to put something like a magazine out into the world was left to wilt. I was reading some of the books I had gotten from the library; The Styling book and Careers in Fashion (judge my choices if you want; I like what I like) when inspiration stuck. i learned about Tavi Gevinson and her thing. I figured out that some people, like the brilliant minds behind 'A Beautiful Mess' have legitimate careers writing about whatever they want online. a blog seemed like the most sensible thing to me to arrange my thoughts, develop my writing skills, and fangirl over lcothes. Maybe people would read, maybe they wouldn't; this was to be my baby. Amazon and I collaborated a lot for a while but she has shrugged off as a bit more of a manager thing now. Prism is pretty much mine now. I am  proud of this. This is a place where I can go to talk and have the chance of listeners. I want to contribute something creative to the world and even if it is just a post on the color pink, it is something I made. This is the 100th thing I have put out htere. I'm grateful for my readers,w ho listen to me ramble. I'm grateful to my parents hwo are patient with me chatteringa bout how I uploaded pictures of apples. I'm grateful for all the inspiration around me. It all funnels down to this.
                     Thank you!

BTW the reasoning behind the name is just that I thought it was cool. A prism is a triangle and triangles have three sides and three is the magic number so... PRISM!

Improvisus

Improvisus, I'm 98% sure means unforeseen, which is what this post is.
I'm trying to do more posts without drafts. I'm not sure why I want to do less drafts, maybe so I can get more done? Oh well. Some thoughts I have on life right now;
I finally chaired in band! Now I just have to wait till everyone else is done to see how I did! Oh goodness, how impatient I am. Also news in band, my high school is in the playoffs! That means that this is the first time our sports have done something really cool in a long time. I had a sports person explain it to me and that's all I got from it. That means even more games to play at! By now they don't really need the marching band at the games, we're just there because 1. WE. ARE. PEP 2. Our band director kinda' maybe wants to show us off. The thing is, now that our games aren't at our stadium anymore we have to get the WHOLE band to the other school. We have 250 students. That means eight buses all filled with sharp looking teenagers traveling two hours across the state of Michigan.

i didn't make this but TRUTH

So.... CHRISTMAS SEASON IS ALMOST HERE, AND YES I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. I love Christmas.
                                 so.
                                           much.
I like the snow and the music (the MUSIC). I love the food and the jolliness of it. So if I don't write another blog post it's because my family has killed me for listening to Christmas jams.

Creeepy is cool

Okay, can we just take a moment to talk about how much I love Alexander McQueen's fall collection?
Answer: yes, we can take a moment to talk about it, this is my rant place, so listen.
I'll admit I never really payed attention to them until recently. It was actually the ad I saw for this collection that made me really want to check it out. I did and... uuuUUUGHHhhhghh1 It's so feminine and creepy!

SEE? I love how it is pink and ruffly and lacy but at the same time totally edgy and scary! The shoes were probably my favorite part though...

For me, I have for the longest time been trying to work up the sequin covered guts to wear socks with heels. It just means coolness to me. The filmy lacy socks remind me of those socks that everyone had as a little kid with the frills and bows and what not. I loved those things. I used to have this pair with little yellow sunflower happy faces on them. They were for special occasions.
